Would knowing how to free up time in your business be something that you would want?

Well, in the blog post below, I’ve shared three simple ways to save time on marketing your business without having to use any complex strategies or expensive marketing agencies.

1. Content Repurposing

If you’re a service business, then you’re likely using content marketing as a strategy to generate leads.

And why not. It’s super effective!

However, it can be incredibly time-consuming and, as such, expensive to outsource.

So, what can you do to save time?

Well, that’s where content repurposing comes in.

The process of content repurposing involves:

  • Creating a core piece of evergreen content each week (like a blog, video, or podcast)
  • Cutting down that core content to create smaller bite-sized pieces of content for sharing on social media
  • Emailing a teaser and a link to that core content to your email list weekly
  • Saving all of this content and then resharing it again in a few months

As you can see with this process above, you can create multiple pieces of content just from that one core blog, podcast, or video.

And you can share it in multiple places without having to create separate pieces of content for every marketing channel you would like to use.

I recommend setting up a content creation system like the one outlined above.

And to save even more time on marketing your service business, be sure to schedule out your social media content using an automated scheduling tool.

2. Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

Wouldn’t it be great to have leads coming into your business without you having to put yourself out there all the time?

Well, it is possible when you have an SEO-friendly website that works away in the background for you.

And the best thing about SEO is that it also drives the right kind of targeted traffic to your website, so you can capture leads from people who are more likely to buy your services.

This approach also means you’ll spend less time spent talking to people who were never likely to be your clients in the first place!

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the process of selecting keywords or keyword phrases that you think your target market is searching for online.

And then using these keywords in your website content to ensure your site gets returned more often in the Google search.

There are a lot of resources around where you can teach yourself how to optimise your website.

Or you can take a course or website optimisation training to assist you in setting up your SEO.

Now, this marketing productivity tip will take a little bit of time to set up initially.

And it will take a bit more time to implement and to start seeing significant results.

However, once you have your website set up with the right SEO keywords and you’ve allowed enough time for Google to find your content and start indexing and ranking your pages…

Well, the results will be worth the effort.

3. Email Marketing Automation

Marketing tools and systems have come a long way in recent years, and there are now quite a few simple options around when it comes to email autoresponders.

These autoresponders are the systems you can use to automate your email sequences and send emails that get triggered when people click on certain links.

This also means… no more time-consuming manual emails when someone downloads your lead magnet and joins your email list!

Please don’t be scared by the technology and steps required to implement these marketing tools.

As I mentioned above, they have come a long way and are quite simple and easy to set up.

I recommend both Convertkit or ActiveCampaign to my coaching clients as they are excellent email marketing systems for when you’re just starting.

Alternatively, if you anticipate that you’ll only have a small email list or don’t have any budget yet, I recommend MailerLite, which has a free starter plan.

Also, I recommend that you take the time to watch the tutorial videos and use the support section to learn how to use these systems properly.

Yes, it does take a little bit of time to complete training.

However, it will save you so much time when it comes to marketing your business over the long run.
